Iftar at Church of Latter-day Saints – Springfield

On Thursday, March 6, the American Turkish Friendship Association (ATFA) joined community members at the Church of Latter-day Saints in Springfield for a welcoming interfaith iftar gathering during the month of Ramadan.

Guests were warmly received by the congregation and shared an evening of fellowship, dialogue, and reflection. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the meaning of Ramadan and the tradition of fasting in Islam, while also hearing perspectives from the Latter-day Saints community about faith and devotion.

The program also included a tour of the church, providing a meaningful opportunity for participants to learn more about one another’s traditions and places of worship. ATFA is grateful for the generous hospitality of the Church of Latter-day Saints community and for the spirit of friendship that made this evening memorable.
