ATFA - American Turkish Friendship Association

ATFA Ramadan Tent has started  serving the community  on Semptember  7th   2009. We offered iftar dinners to 400 people each night for 6 days. 

In addition to meals, there was entertainment including clowns and authentic  Turkish puppeteers.  Several local officials visited the tent throughout the week, including Fairfax County Chairman  Sharon Bulova, Virginia Delegate  David Bulova,  FBI public relations agent KImberley Johnson, Fairfax City Chief of Police Rick Rappoport, and Fairfax City Fire Department assistant Chief Tim Butters.  Fairfax County Chairman Sharon Bulova, Delegate David Bulova, Kimberley Johnson and Fairfax City Police Chief Col. Rick Rappoport  gave a short speech.  Everybody enjoyed the event thoroughly and we hope we can do a similar event, perhaps even bigger, next year.
